newborn portraits | Purple Tree

The little man is off to grandma’s, Bauer is holding down the homestead with his “puppysitters” (my brother and his awesome girlfriend) and the hubby and I are off for a much needed week vacation! I hope to return rested with lots of photos to share! I will, of course, return all emails asap after we return.

Now onto a sweet newborn boy I managed to photograph before we leave! I’ve been bugging mom and dad to procreate for years now and I’m so glad they finally did! They are going to be such great and loving parents. Alair is just the cutest!

I love when my clients who made a cute baby have another cute baby! I photographed big brothers newborn photos almost three years ago and he was VERY interested in his new little brother, Owen’s, newborn session. What a good and protective big brother he already is. For being VERY awake and alert the whole session, Owen was such a good model! I think this first image is my favorite!

We did some photos of big bro with this guitar at his newborn session so I wanted to do some updated ones!

Congratulations “D” family! I just loved seeing you all at this special time!

What lucky parents…two beautiful boys! The first is my favorite too.

One of my favorite things about newborn sessions, other then the cute baby of course, is chatting with the family and hearing their story. I’m not even sure why but I love hearing birth stories. It’s an especially good session/day when I get to photograph a family as sweet and wonderful as this one. I mean James was a perfect little model with an awesome nursery, we chatted like we already knew each other AND they offered me a yummy scone. Seriously, it just doesn’t get any better does it?

So pretty and perfect, this little girl was the tie breaker and since she was the last baby they decided to wait to find out that she was a SHE! Morgan was so alert during her session but also so very good!
