Piggies 05.17.2010

It is so fun to see old clients again! I've been fortunate to photograph this little peanut three times now! With finally having some nice weekend weather, we had a good time hanging out at the Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor. And I have to just mention, how crazy cute are her pig tails?!

As you can see by this first photo, Emily was a bit distracted by the little rocks at first.

Love these next two, my favs from the session, although it certainly hard to pick!

You know when the little one is rubbing the eyes, session is over, but it does make for a cute photo! :)

Thanks to Emily, Mom and Dad! SO great to hang out with all of you again!!

Vote! 05.10.2010

***This contest is now over***

I want to thank everyone who took the time to enter my Senior Portrait Contest! Here are the three lovely finalist, scroll down to vote on who you think should win one FREE portrait session PLUS 10 digital negatives!

Finalist # 1: Kayla

School: Currently Homeschooled (online) previously attended Redford Union

Kayla would like to attend OCC to obtain her Nursing degree and then transfer to Eastern Michigan. Here's a bit from her entry: "I am a student with all A's and B's. My dad just lost his job and we really can't afford to get pictures taken. My mom also has diabetes and I would like to give some pictures to her to keep of me. She would love that more than anything in the world. This would be a dream come true for me. I am a good person, with a good dedicated heart. I always do what my parents ask. They appreciate my help around the house. I am happy that I have inspired my best friend to keep up her grades, because her dream is to be in the army as well as helping my sister with everything she does."

Finalist # 2: Alana

School: Redford Union

Alana is considering attending College for Creative Studies for Photography or possibly becoming a esthetician. Here's a bit from Alana's entry: "i'm a great friend/daughter/sister/granddaughter/cousin, i never fail to tell my loved ones how much i appreciate and love them. which includes but is not limited to: taking pictures of them, baking them cupcakes, writing them letters, and telling them how beautiful they really are :-)"

Finalist # 3: Katie

School: Northville High School

Katie is still deciding where she would like to go to college and what she would like to do but loves advertising, photography and design. She would love to study abroad and loves to travel. Here's a bit from her entry, she was nominated by her Mom: "She is a wonderful daughter who has achieved great grades, managed to perform well on her high school and AAU basketball teams and not get caught up in the pressures of a normal teenager. My husband and I are so proud and pleased that Katie has the drive to succeed in school and recognize that making good grades and good choices in her personal life will benefit her as she looks to the future. She is part of the SADD organization at school that tries to educate students as young as elementary school on the importance of making good choices in their life and staying safe. Katie has worked hard to maintain her tough academic schedule, participate in sports as well as other activities and still maintain a social life. We are just fortunate that she has made such good decisions and has her priorities in the right spot."

Worth the wait 05.17.2010

We had to reschedule this sessioin TWICE because of our pesky Michigan weather! Thankfully we were rewarded with a beautiful day and Mr. James was worth the wait! He is such a happy little guy who enjoyed exploring.

Check out his SUPER CUTE little curl on the back of his head!

Thanks to James and his parents for being so patient with the weather situation!
