Archives: 2009

Can you hear that? It's my sigh of relief! The nursery is FINALLY complete and not a moment too soon with my due date being this Friday (although, of course, we have no idea when the baby will decide to make it's appearance). So without further ado, check it out!!!

Here's a list of where everything came from:

Eco-Friendly Crib & changing table - Killer deal from Overstock.com that's no longer available

Dresser and shelf - Ikea

Dog park canvas - oopsy daisy

"No Monsters" & Owl print - John W Golden's shop on Etsy

Mobile birds - Wildernest shop on Etsy

Star decal above the changing table - 2modern

Star mobile - The Starcraf shop on Etsy

Owl shadow box & custom rocking chair cushion - Cheryl Oz etsy shop

Orange lamp, storage baskets & laundry basket - Land of Nod

Rug - Flor (I do NOT recommend trying to use it on carpet, long story but we made it work)

Organic sheet & changing pad cover - Steal from Babies R Us that are no longer available

Carrot print behind chair - Yours truely (It's a Shel Silverstein poem that forms the carrot)

Jinky workshop 02.19.2010

I firmly believe that you should never stop learning! No matter how long you've been doing something, you can always get better, learn something new, be newly inspired, etc. Every year I make an effort to improve myself as a photographer. I'm SUPER excited to be attending a photography workshop in August of 2010 by an AMAZING Aussie photographer, Jinky! When I heard she was coming to the US I knew I just HAD to go and get my learn on! YAY! Below is the fabulous location in Ohio where I will be attending the workshop!

Oh Plah! Bracelet 02.18.2010

I love stuff like this! It's a stylish bracelet for Mom, but say your child is fussy, teething or just needs a distraction - BAM - it's also a teether/toy! ha! Oh Plah! means "here you go" in French and it's eco friendly to boot! I came across this at the little seedling in Ann Arbor and even though my baby isn't here yet, much less teething, I think I'll start wearing it now! :)

In this age of blogs, facebook, twitter, texting, etc. it's hard not to be too overwhelmed! What's a photographer to do? :)

I've been aware of twitter for some time of course, but have resisted taking the plung into the world of "tweeting". Do you tweet? Do you love it?! Hate it? Should Purple Tree enter into the world? Would you follow? I would love to hear from you by email or comment below!

Purple Tree Photography does have a facebook page that I do try to keep updated and give announcements to the "fans" so I encourage you to become a fan! :)

Of course, you can also subscribe to the RSS feed (click on the RSS button above) for this and any other blog you like to check on a regular basis. I use google reader and love it! It's awesome because it keeps you updated with the blogs you check letting you know when their is a new one to read so you're not checking blogs that haven't been updated.
