With the fall season wrapping up and my belly growing I'll be posting less portraits. I do plan to keep the blog going with updates on my pregnancy, cool products & finds that I haven't had time to post, camera tips, etc. If there's any questions you would like me to answer, like what camera equipment is in my bag, specific camera tips or anything you would like to see me post about please let me know by emailing me at kelli@purpletreephotography.com.

I've been taking some major heat for not taking any bump photos. With the third trimester just around the corner this is the first photo of my bump. I know, I know, I'm a photographer, how could I have not taken any! Well, it's easy, I'm never IN photos! :) So here's the tips of my toes, goodbye toes, I'll miss you!

Mr. Tyler is turning one in just a few days and i could've photographed him all day! He was so sweet, good and his family room had great light! I was a happy photogrpaher! :)

What's up with this October weather in November? NOT that I'm complaining!

Thank you to the "B" family!

Meet Baron (I'll wait for the "awwwe's" to finish). He's quite a handsome boy and extremely photogenic! In fact, he seemed to be posing for me at times, no kidding. Baron's Mom and Dad are getting married in less then a month and wanted to do a portrait session with their puppy before the wedding!

I would love to take complete credit for these but they were a very happy accident. I was taking photos of just Mom and Dad when Baron decided to get in the frame. I'm so glad he did!

Thank you to Baron, Mom and Dad! Have a wonderful wedding!!!

One question I've been getting since pregnant is about what I'm doing with the nursery, especially since we aren't finding out the sex of the baby. Well until this week, NOTHING. Yeah, if you know me, I like all things design, so something new like putting together a nursery is a lot of fun! But it wasn't until this week that I've even had a chance to start! Which for my type A personality and level of patience is completely unacceptable! :) And you want to know what else is unacceptable, repainting said nursery twice in three days. Yeeeaaahhh. A big shout out to my Mom who helped me with round two. I'm usually decent and picking paint from those teeny tiny little swatches of color, not so much this time. The room looked like a neon glow stick. I'll spare you the gory details but let's just say there was paint splattering, mixing and there MIGHT have been a swear word or two in there. You know those days. Painting always seems like a great idea until you're in the thick of it. Then you're thinking how the walls don't look so bad just primed, it's kinda artsy right? BUT it is a happy ending and I do have a painted nursery! Can I get an Amen?! Next steps: get ceiling fan (seems reasonably easy), have my Dad install it (very easy for me) and get 3 HEAVY boxes containing crib & changing table down from attic and put together (more curse words). Stay tuned...
