This session is a Christmas present for Mom/Grandma and Dad/Grandpa. They have a fun family, one member even coming from as far as Hawaii for the Holiday weekend!

It was great to meet all of you!

It is so easy concentrate on the bad, what isn't going our way or what we don't have, especially in our current economy. But today is a day to remind us to be thankful for the good in our lives! I want to send a big THANK YOU to each and every one of my clients! Thank you for realizing the value of photography, in capturing yourselves/families/children and especially for in trusting me to do so! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Most little kids have a blanket or something that they carry around everywhere with them. For me it was snoopy. My Dad got me this little puppy dog when I was about a year old and we were inseparable! He went everywhere with me and it shows (That scare under his eye isn't because of a bad attitude or fight)! Snoopy had to be repaired a few times, as he started out as a beanie baby type. At some point snoopy was MIA for quite a while and reappeared as a Christmas gift from my parents having had a little plastic surgery (don't judge him)! By this time I was in High School so Snoopy has stayed in this better condition and hung out in my room ever since we were reunited!

Last weekend my very talent friend Cheryl, her Mom and a few others had a art show. Her Mom was selling some VERY adorable little animals that she had made and I saw this little guy!

Well, he reminded me of a new modern version of my little snoopy! I just had to have him for the baby! Because let's be honest, I'm not letting the baby have MY snoopy! :) So it feels like a new era with the baby coming and a new "snoopy".

I also spotted this little owl that the baby just HAD to have! :)

There was another owl just like mine available but bigger, another slightly different "snoopy" and LOTS more goodies to check out if you're intersted. You can check out Cheryl's etsy page for lots of goodies or contact her through it to find out more about the little animals her Mom makes. :)

This handsome graduating high school senior, Dylan, used to be a cute baby that I used to BABYSIT for! Ugh. I feel old. How does that happen? Time goes by so fast! Enjoy your college years Dylan, they will certainly fly by!

Thanks Dylan, Good luck and get that drivers licenses already! :)

Crib and changing table assembled - Check

Large RED warning stickers removed - Not so much. Call me crazy but is putting huge red stickers on a eco-friendly crib with who knows what kind of glue a little rude? If the person that has this job is reading this right now, I have a message for you but I don't think I should put it on my blog. After trying to get them off with safe products and cleaners I resorted to Goo Gone (well I didn't of course, hubby did that) and the stickers are winning the battle so far. UGH. Suggestions welcome.

Crib mattress purchased - Check

Ceiling fan up and running - Check! Thanks Dad. This project, much like the paint, took two tries with two trips to Lowes. It's always the stuff that you think will be easy.

Ikea dresser assembled - Check! I'm so used to putting ikea stuff together now I'm thinking of getting a job there if this whole photography thing doesn't work out.

Getting a STEAL on organic crib sheets and changing table covers - CHECK! You gotta love a clearance sale you're lucky enough to come across!

Next projects: Continuing to battle the stickers or should I say glue from the stickers. Picking out/getting the fabric for the seat cusion that I'm having made for the rocker (more on this later).
