I do at least one photography workshop of some kind each year to, as the kids & people cooler then me would say, get my learn on. Being a natural light photographer, this year I really wanted to learn about something that has been scary to me, studio lighting, (cue the lighting and thunder) DUN DUN DUN! I had the pleasure of doing a workshop/mentoring day with Travis of Boka Studios who is an awesome teacher and super nice person! Note to any photographers who might be reading this, if you’re thinking of doing Travis & Jean’s workshop, go for it!

Such a perfect little guy with a super cute nursery and loving parents! Although he was sleepy, he really wanted to stay awake for the action as demonstrated in this first image that’s just so cute!

I love this, behind the scenes picture, I snapped while dad was helping lucas relax. So sweet!

Congratulations to the happy new family of three!

I’ve been on pinterest for awhile now and I’m truly inspired by how creative people are. And in so many different ways! AND (I haven’t said “and” enough yet) I have so many new recipes to try now, seriously consider yourself warned it WILL make you hungry!

future red wing?

I took these photos just after Thanksgiving and was dying to share but couldn’t since I was using them for Christmas gifts. I really hope my poor little man likes hockey because I’m not so sure he has a choice since most of the family are big hockey fans! As you can see, he did seem to like his first time on the ice, sans ice skates,so hopefully that’s a good sign. Special thanks to the Arctic Pond in Plymouth and Nana for doing what she had to, just shy of falling on her booty, to get the little man to laugh!
